6 Reflections for A New Year

6 Reflections for A New Year

A couple of NYEs ago, I scrolled through to find some reflection questions that had caught my eye, and I bravely suggested to Jay that we discuss them over our elegant dinner out. He bravely agreed to be willing. Then last year, I dug around to find that list again and we pondered them again, snug at home.

That list seems lost to the ages, so last night, he & I crafted a new list that captured the spirit of our hopes for the year - personally, in our work, for our connections with the world around us, and we thought I could share them with you.

And it's 6 Reflections,(not 10, or 25, or even 100 as I saw! Who has energy for 100 questions? Who could live up to that?!)

Remember, set the stage for reflecting well:

Save the list, share it, or snap a screenshot.

Walk&Talk together, like we will today.

Nestle on the couch with a last hurrah of Christmas lights and holiday music.

Reflect on your own, with satisfaction.

Journal if you want to.

Don't be afraid to shed a tear and honour some sadness.

Begin with a spirit of self-compassion.

Here are 6 Reflection Questions for A New Year:

  • Celebrate your favourite memories.

  • What learnings will you carry forward?

  • What relationships will you nurture?

  • What is something you did well at?

  • What direction will you grow towards this year?

  • What new thing will you learn and create?

How will you help these 6 reflections last and grow? What will help bring your dreams for the year to life?

Is there another question you are pondering??

2022 needs our optimism and hope alive, some deep commitment to our selves and one another. Let's do this, creating lasting good habits, with courage to rise above our same old/same old, and leaning in with purpose. In with both feet!!

Peace!
